StampSherpa vs Postalytics: automation platform or done-for-you?

Postalytics is a genuinely good tool built for a different person than ours: a marketer who lives in a CRM and wants mail to behave like email automation. StampSherpa is built for the owner who wants postcards handled. Bias disclosed; here is the split.

The short version

Choose Postalytics if you have a marketing team, a CRM full of contacts, and you want triggered mail flows (abandoned quote, renewal, win-back) built like email journeys. Choose StampSherpa if you are the owner, there is no marketing team, and you want six designed cards a month plus a map and a send button.

What Postalytics is

Postalytics is a direct-mail automation platform for marketers. As of July 2026 its published plans: a free tier (pay per piece: a 6 by 9 postcard from $1.048 standard mail), Marketer at $199 per month (6 by 9 from $0.928 at low volume), and Pro/Agency at $399 per month (down to $0.808 at 10,000+ pieces), with deep integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, Klaviyo and more), unlimited personalized URLs and QR codes, and USPS delivery tracking. No minimum quantities. It is honest, capable software; you bring the strategy, the design, the list hygiene, and the campaign math.

What StampSherpa is

StampSherpa assumes no marketer exists. Paste your website and six postcards design themselves before signup; plans are flat and all-inclusive ($199 for 100 addressed cards monthly, $349 for neighborhood saturation, $549 for both), the monthly set refreshes itself, and every card carries a scannable code with responses shown per send. There are no per-piece invoices to reconcile and no flows to build: the product IS the flow, tuned to the one cadence research supports (monthly touches).

Choose Postalytics if

  • Mail needs to fire from CRM events (quote sent, policy renewal, cart abandoned).
  • You have design resources and want variable-data control.
  • You are an agency running mail for multiple clients.

Choose StampSherpa if

  • Nobody at your business has time to be a marketer.
  • You want neighborhood saturation (EDDM), which Postalytics does not offer.
  • You want design done for you and refreshed monthly, not a template editor.
  • You want one flat price instead of subscription plus per-piece billing.

Common questions

Is Postalytics or StampSherpa cheaper?
For 100 cards a month: Postalytics Marketer runs $199 plus roughly $93-98 in pieces (about $292 with your own design work); StampSherpa Residence is $199 flat including design and tracking. At high volumes with an in-house designer, Postalytics' per-piece tiers get cheaper. The real difference is whose labor is included.
Does Postalytics do EDDM?
No; Postalytics is addressed mail (postcards, letters, self-mailers) driven by lists and CRM triggers. Neighborhood saturation without a list is StampSherpa's Neighborhood plan.
Which integrates with my CRM?
Postalytics, decisively: HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign and more. StampSherpa takes CSV uploads and saved audiences instead; it is built to not need a CRM.
